Why wasn’t I informed that Barnes & Noble started to put together cool videos about books? Given that my English 3 class is all about Why Read? right now, it would be a shame if I didn’t show at least one video.
- Reading from Huck Finn;
- Background on Frankenstein, Animal Farm, Dubliners, and Green Eggs and Ham;
- A Stephen King story told in twenty five video comic books;
- President Bill Clinton on Giving;
- Video channel for ‘Teens’ (a few Stephanie Meyer videos in there to be gobbled up, along with a couple from Sarah Dessen, Jim Dale, and Christopher Paolini);
- Cobain Unseen (this book seems a horrible intrusion to me that I refuse to read, but some students might really get into it);
- Random folks on why they read;
- Several channels for even more reading suggestions.
Did you know about this? Why didn’t you tell me?
