Now, I can have alternating colors on the home page. I used an idea that I had from working with Open Realty. What do you know? The idea worked! I only had to do trial and error a few times and I had everything positioned right where I needed it. It’s a bit of code I could also use to number each entry generated on the home page.

Right now, I have a loop of code that switches between 1 and 0. I just apply that to the name of a DIV class and set my CSS as I want. If I want to ignore the color switching, I can simply change my CSS again!

I’d like to put out a pack of changes to rodin and ask Jon if he’ll post it on his site. I’ve doubled the size of rodin.php, but I’ve also included the functions for comments and archiving, two toys that are currently extra files on a site that are now consolidated into one. As well, I’ve included a few other nifty functions. I’ve also created a new page (entries.php) to display the full text of entries. All in all, while it’s a bit bigger than the original download, I hope that this version might provide a bit more functionality that people would like. Let’s see what he thinks.
