There are only two good things about Hulk: The Movie:

  • Jennifer Connelly
  • The Ending Credits

Jennifer Connely
What can I say? Most movies she is in are worth watching simply because of that fact. She’s graceful and fun to watch, but even she couldn’t pull off a decent performance. I really think she’s a good actress, but she does a terrible job in this film. And even with that, she’s one of the best things about this piece of crap film.

The Ending Credits
Using callout boxes, a comic book font, and other stylistic elements used on comic book pages, the ending credits were the single most original thing about this film. Ending credits are almost always shown in the same style. Jackie Chan movies started to run a blooper reel during these credits and that gave us something worth watching. Other films, Ferris Beuller’s Day Off being my most early memroy of this, tried to use the extra scene idea to keep us through the credits (the Watchosky brothers did this with the second The Matrix installment). But Hulk tried something original with the layout. I like that and am willing to give style points for this.

Obviously, those two things aren’t enough to make this a movie worth spending your time on. In fact, I’ve spent too much time simply thinking about that movie right here. So now I’m done.
